You know
what? Life, all of a sudden, got super-busy, super-fast! I have something going
on every night this week, and then also have to head of out of town this
weekend. J is off this week (thankfully, so he can help cover the kids, and
laundry, and dog, and all the things breaking- episode 15), but this also means
that there will be little in the ways of blog posting for me, since I usually
write in the evenings when the kids are in bed and J has to work late.
I know. Whine,
whine, whine.
This
coincides with my upcoming 300-post celebration! Yes, you read that correctly.
Three. Hundred. Posts. And the weight of coming up with something spectacular
and awesome to celebrate such an auspicious event is driving me straight
through the Earth to China. Ugh. I’ve got nothing, people. If you have cool
ideas, feel free to share them with me!
Al of this
to say that you’re going to get some repeats this week. Yep! That’s right. Each
day this week I am going to repeat some of my most awesome posts. We’ll laugh,
we’ll cry… I’ll get a break while you get to read up on something you may have
missed…
And we’re
going to start with the
Nana…

Introducing:
Nana, and the Bee
Here is the rundown of a
recent convo with my mom, who we will call the Nana from here on out:
Me: (Slightly stern, as I am at work) Hello? What’s going on?
Nana: (Surreptitiously, as she is at work) So, what happened? Or has it happened yet?
Me: No, it happened this morning. I was invited, in no uncertain terms, to NOT attend.
Nana: You were invited not to go?
Me: Yes.
Nana: By whom?
Me: K, of course.
Nana: So, what happened?
Me: I don’t know.
Nana: Is there someone who knows?
Me: I bet K does, since he was there. I’ll ask him tonight.
Nana: Call the principal. The principal should know. It’s their school.
Me: I am not calling the principal. You can wait until tonight.
Nana: I need to know right now.
Me: You know, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. While he likes the idea of a $25,000 scholarship, he doesn’t really get why he can’t just have that money now for his own purposes. Also, he found out that if he progresses any further, he’ll be required to appear on TV.
Nana: So, what are you saying? He doesn’t want to be on TV?
Me: Mom, the kid doesn’t want to have his picture taken. What do you think?
Nana: So, is he going to throw this? Are you saying he’s throwing the competition?
Me: Oh, I think it is a possibility! We’ll all find out how things went tonight.
Nana: You know, this is not adequate parenting on your part! I need to know the outcome! And if that little shit threw this bee…
…And you wondered where I got it from…

Hopefully things don't get too stressful. You will be missed.
