Each fall, I
get the overwhelming urge to go clothes shopping. For those of you who know me
in real life (ahem, Jesse, ahem) and have been shopping with me, you know that just about any
other time throughout the year, clothes shopping with me is damn-near
unbearable. I usually despise shopping…
except in the fall.

I’m not exactly sure why this is the case. Perhaps it has something to do with the tradition of back to school shopping. Perhaps it has something to do with memories of clothes shopping in high school with my friends funded by late-summer birthday money. More than likely, it has a lot to do with enjoying fall lines much more than any other season.
Whereas,
others may enjoy shopping for sundresses or swimsuits, I usually look at summer
clothes, avoid all mentions of a swimsuit section, disdainfully pick five new
t-shirts to wear to work, and call it good.
But the fall
has skirts and boots and jeans and dresses! Dresses! Boots! Hooray! This year
has been no exception. I’ve been shopping for dresses I can wear to work with
wild abandon. Thankfully, J is actually supportive of my clothes shopping, when
the urge hits.
An actual
conversation from two weeks ago:
Me: I think
I may need some new jeans. Do you think I need new jeans?
J: Yes, you
do need new jeans. Would you like to go and buy some? I know there’s a sale
going on at the mall. We could go tonight!
Me: Whoa.
You’re very on board with this idea right now.
J: Sarah,
you own five pairs of jeans, and every single pair of them is frayed and faded
and has holes in them somewhere. I’m almost
to the point of throwing them away, like you do with my old t-shirts.
Sadly, the
man was right. And has an affinity for retail. And successfully helped me pick
out jeans.

Which brings
me to the point of this post. Shabby Apple (of which I am an affiliate) is
having a great sale on dresses over at their site this week. I’ve been shopping
for dresses, too, and plan on ordering the two pictured in this post! In fact,
in addition to the sale, they’ve given me a discount code to share with you: favorite10. This code is good through Friday,
September 14th, so if you’re thinking of perusing their fall lines,
this would be the time to do it! You can skip on over to their site by clicking
the ad on the right hand side of my blog.
This is a sponsored post. In
addition to potentially receiving free products from Shabby Apple, I am also
paid a commission on any orders that result from click-throughs from my blog.

I love Shabby Apple but have never bought anything from them. Does their sizing run accurately?
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I think they do run accurately. That being said, the items I've purchased thus far are in the 'fits generously' category, so I cannot speak much about their more fitted items.
DeleteSoon, though. Soon.
I'd ask Nksbac.
ReplyDeleteHe's the one with Casa Donasa De Vencedoras.
They run in small especially, Newfoundland.
And in the Dong.
As in Dingu.
They call it Gerwher?
