UPDATE: After a highly scientific process... Oh, who are we kidding here? I used random.org to generate the number for our winner. The winning number was five! This means that Kristin from Taming Insanity is our winner! Congratulations to Kristin and a huge thank you to everyone who entered for a chance to win. Another huge thank you to Amber for offering a giveaway this holiday season. You guys are awesome.
It wouldn’t be the holidays without a holiday giveaway, now would it? I absolutely love doing giveaways on my blog—especially for artists and those who make handmade items and especially friends. This year it has been a bit difficult to get in the holiday spirit, but I’m super excited to host Amber from Angler Fish Studio.

Amber is one
of those friends who have known me for a long, long time. We went to the same
middle school and junior high and high school. She can probably attest to the
fact that I was that weird girl with the dyed hair in the back of drama class
who read Frank Miller graphic novels. Unless she had art class in fourth period
when I had drama class. Then she likely only has it on speculation…
Not much
different than how I am today, huh? Me, with my zombie obsession and graphic
novels and penchant for handmade things and red hair dye…
In addition
to making awesome jewelry and hand-bound books (and I think she even makes her own
paper) and art, Amber works at a co-op (I love this) and is one of
the most positive and grounded people to ever pop up in one’s Facebook news
feed. I strongly suggest that you check out her website and like the Angler Fish Studio Facebook page. She also has an Etsy site. Seriously—check out her
stuff—I’m certain that you will find a great gift or two for this holiday
season!
Amber
offered up this pair of earrings for the holiday giveaway. She made them last
week. As she describes them, “They are mixed metal with copper and brass. The
bead is clear glass.” The earrings are gorgeous, and would make an excellent
gift for yourself or someone you love! (As a big believer in giving yourself awesome presents, I vote that you get this one for yourself.) I wish I could enter the contest myself,
because these earrings are right up my alley.
If you are
interested in entering this giveaway all you need to do is comment below.
Please make sure to log in to comment (meaning that I have an email address) or
include you email address so that I can contact you when you win. Also, if you
tweet (making sure to include @ssfrigerio) about this giveaway I will give you extra
entries! The giveaway will close at 5:00pm on Friday, and I will pick the
winner via a random number generator. I will announce the winner here on Friday
night, and email you for your shipping address.
And once more, go and check out Amber's websites!

I have several of her pieces! I have given my favorites away to friends. You always need one more of her art!

ReplyDeleteWhat terrific earrings. And what a terrific story of friendship. I feel that way about my high school friends - that they know the essence of me, the striped overalls, flannel shirt, poofy bangs truth.
ReplyDeleteThose are GORGEOUS. I've been looking for something extra for my mom this holiday but I think I might have to keep those for myself.
